1. On the first day, wait on the First Time line (Primeira Vez). Once you’re inside you will be told to lay in one of the beds. If your illness is located in front, lay on your back. If your illness is located on your back, lay facing down. If you have illness located both front and back, lay facing up and after Valentim has passed by you, turn facing down and wait for him to pass by you again. If you want to treat your eyes, ask for the Capilé line (Fila do Capilé). Cancer and other severe illnesses are treated first.
2. For the first 7 days after the first spiritual surgery:
a) Do not eat: pork or anything that contains pork (such as sausage), pineapple, cabbage, pepper, pepperoni, catfishes, pequi (a Brazilian fruit), prawns and chocolate.
b) Do not drink any alcoholic drinks;
c) Do not have sexual intercourse.
3. After 7 days, return for the spiritual “taking out of the stitches” – for that you wait in the line called “Retirada dos Pontos”. The diet then returns to normal, except for those who are treating stomach and intestine. Those should not eat pork nor drink coca cola or alcoholic drinks. These may only return to your diet after cured. It is not recommended for anyone at anytime to drink alcoholic drinks in excess.
4. After the taking out of the stitches, return every 7 days until completely healed. You should not wait longer than 15 days between applications. Do as many applications as is needed for you to obtain your cure.
5. Do not treat yourself several times in the same day. For example: If you want to treat your eyes with Capilé (spirit eye doctor) and treat your back with Bezerra de Menezes (another spirit doctor), reserve a different day for each one.
6. Arrive early. The curing process begins the moment you arrive at the house.
7. Please remain in silence while waiting for the treatment and use the waiting time to meditate, pray or exercise positive thinking. This will help you in the healing process.
8. If you have children waiting with you, you may wait in the children’s line (Fila das Crianças). Even if it is you and not the child who is getting the treatment. The same applies to people with elders. You can enter the (Fila para Idosos).
9. People in pain have priority. Those who are getting treatment and have someone in pain with them may enter together. This is so those who suffer aren’t kept waiting.
10. Do not obstruct the door or the area in front of it.
11. Do not substitute your doctor for spiritual healing! Both treatments should be done simultaneously. It is your doctor who determines weather you are healed or not.
12. The house opens every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 7am and stays open only throughout the morning.
13. If you will not be in the city to continue your treatment, leave your name and address and on the Recinto de Caridade’s operating hours think of the Recinto and the energy will go to you.
